What to Expect when you book a boudoir session

So you’re thinking about booking a boudoir experience, but not sure what to expect during your session. Picturing yourself in lingerie or more revealing clothing might feel daunting, but gaining insight into our process and what happens behind-the-scenes can certainly help alleviate any nervousness you may be feeling and make the entire experience more enjoyable. Here's what you can anticipate during your boudoir session at Sammie Lynn Boudoir!

Initial Consultation

Before you commit to your boudoir session, we'll begin with an initial consultation, which is conveniently held over the phone. During this conversation, we'll discuss all the details of your session! I'll guide you through the entire process, and when you're ready to confirm your booking, we'll take care of that right then and there.

Pre-Session and Session Preparation

After locking in your session date, our communication continues! We'll keep in touch through various emails that will help you prepare for your big day. We can even schedule a Pre-Shoot Consultation which can be held via FaceTime or Google Meet to go over your session, discuss your vision, help ease nerves, and answer any questions you may have.

Hair and Makeup

On the day of your session, you'll kick things off with a hair and makeup session provided by our incredibly talented in-house Hair and Makeup Artist. She's truly exceptional and will help bring your desired look to life. This portion of your day is designed for you to relax and indulge in some pampering before we begin shooting. Professional hair and makeup can genuinely enhance your confidence, and you'll probably wish you could take our glam team home with you once everything's done!

Outfit Selection

Following your hair and makeup, we'll move on to selecting the outfits for your shoot. We'll explore the client closet pieces that I've curated for you. If you've brought your own, we'll also look through those too! During this time, you'll try everything on, and together, we'll finalize your choices.

Posing and Guidance

Once you're ready to start the shoot, the real fun begins! I'll manage EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of posing, including demonstrating all those creative poses before it’s your turn. I'll provide guidance on hand and foot placement, even facial expressions. Rest assured, I'm here every step of the way, so you can relax and enjoy the process. The Reveal

Once we are finished shooting, you'll book your reveal session. They are held within a week of your shoot. You’ll come back and this is when the enchantment truly unfolds. Your images completely edited, will be showcased for the first time. You’ll see a slideshow along with a predesigned album of all your best images. We will look through all of our sample products so you can decide exactly how you want to display your gorgeous images!

Delivery Of Products/Photos:

Generally, your products should arrive within 3-4 weeks. Holidays can take 6-8 weeks. Digital products, mobile apps, and slideshows are delivered same day as your reveal. To ensure the highest quality, we collaborate with various labs for different products. We inspect all of our products before pickup to ensure the utmost quality. We also ask you to inspect, as well and notify us of any concerns. Then, get ready to admire yourself all over again.
